Cookie Policy

Effective: 9 June 2026 · Last updated: 9 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Oasis Current LLC (“Oasis Current,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on oasiscurrent.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies are widely used to make websites function correctly, to remember preferences, to understand how a site is used, and, in some cases, to deliver advertising. We use the term “cookies” to refer to cookies and to other similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage.

2. How We Use Cookies

Oasis Current is a quiet, two-page editorial site, and our use of cookies is intentionally limited. We rely on the strict minimum required to operate the Site, and we only use other categories of cookies with your consent where required by law.

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to function. They are typically set in response to actions made by you, such as submitting the contact form or setting your cookie preferences, and they cannot be switched off. Our hosting platform, Webflow, sets a small number of these cookies (for example, to maintain session state and to provide basic security features such as bot detection).

Legal basis: these cookies do not require consent under EU and UK law as they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested. They are placed on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.

2.2 Performance and analytics cookies

If enabled, these cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Site (for example, which pages are viewed and how long visitors stay). They allow us to improve the Site over time. At present, we do not use any analytics cookies.

Legal basis: where these cookies are not strictly necessary, they are placed only with your consent (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive; Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

2.3 Functional cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering language or display preferences. At present, the Site does not set functional cookies beyond those described as strictly necessary.

2.4 Marketing cookies

These cookies are used to track visitors across websites for advertising or remarketing purposes. The Site does not currently use marketing cookies. If we add any (for example, a Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag), they will be listed below and will only be set with your prior consent. Currently, no marketing cookies are in use.

3. Cookies in Use

The list below describes the cookies and similar technologies currently in use on the Site. We review it periodically and update it when changes are made.

Strictly necessary

  • wf_exp_uniqueId — Webflow — assigns a unique identifier for session integrity. Duration: session.
  • __cf_bm — Cloudflare (via Webflow) — bot management and Site security. Duration: 30 minutes.
  • oc_cookie_consent — Oasis Current — stores your cookie preferences. Duration: 12 months.

Analytics

None at this time. We do not currently use any analytics or performance cookies.

Marketing

None at this time. We do not currently use any advertising or marketing cookies.

4. Your Choices

You can manage cookies in two ways:

  • Cookie banner. When you first visit the Site, you will see a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the Site footer or by clearing the consent cookie in your browser.
  • Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect the performance of the Site. For more information, see the “Help” menu of your browser or visit allaboutcookies.org.

Where required, we honour browser-level opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) for users in jurisdictions that recognise such signals.

5. Legal Framework

This policy is designed to comply with the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and applicable U.S. state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change or when required by law. The “Last updated” date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
